Brad Pitt and Matt Damon Prank George Clooney

Brad Pitt and Matt Damon Prank George ClooneyOn The Late Show with David Letterman last night, the guest was Matt Damon. The interview started off by discussing the "Matt Damon is dead" rumor which is obviously not true noting that he is alive and well. It was a funny interview with the exchange of stories between Damon and Letterman.

Matt starts telling a story that a week prior to his arrival at the Venice Film. He has no idea Brad Pitt was out promoting Inglorious Basterds when an overseas journalist asked him when he and Angelina Jolie will decide to settle down. So Brad ended up pulling a hilarious joke that he and Angie will only get married if "George and his partner can legally do so."

So when the same Italian journalist came and ask Matt "is it true what Brad say?". Having no clue, he just went on and said "Yeah, of course it's true". When the journalist asked 'Do you mean George Clooney have a boyfriend?' tried keeping a straight face and went on to sat "Yeah, of course he's got a boyfriend. ‘And he wants to legally marry him?' We've been on him about this for years..."

It's "harmless little joke" as Matt calls it with Dave and told the he's pretty sure that Clooney is still laughing about it. Pitt, Clooney and Damon are known to be good friends who often joke and play pranks on each other. Now, we have to wonder if George Clooney is behind the Damon death rumors, or if he has something else up his sleeve.

Jet's Sanchez psyched to face former USC roommate

mark sanchez | college pranks ideasThe Jets' starting quarterback rookie Mark Sanchez, the fifth overall pick of this year's NFL draft, is very excited and can't wait for the 2009 NFL season to officially begin. He is about to get a true educational experience since the defensive schemes and the speed of the game would ramped up more than just a notch compared to the preseason games on Sunday when they face the Houston Texans in Texas.

Sanchez first NFL game would give him captivating flashbacks, facing a fellow rookie and former USC college teammate, Brian Cushing, the Texans' strong side linebacker. Both rookies were roommates for about 21/2 years at Southern California. They grew pretty close and had their share of college yucks, pulling the kind of shocking pranks that stay in the memory banks forever.

According to Sanchez, Brian Cushing always had something going on in the house or something funny to say about practice or class. He used to have a snake in their apartment and when people would come over and fall asleep at their house. They would put the snake on their guests to see how scared they got which they taught was a pretty funny pranks idea.

At USC, Sanchez and Cushing saw players constantly come and go, and they were two of the mainstays, considered the vocal leaders of the offense and defense. When players needed a pep talk, they didn't mind firing their teammates up. Although the two have had hundreds of laughs together, there won't be anything comical if Cushing comes flying around the end and plants Sanchez on his backside. If that does happen, it's a sure bet that Cushing will do a little trash talking.

Standup comic sued slander by her mother-in-law

Sunda Croonquist | stupid stuff hilarious jokesSunda Croonquist, a veteran stand-up comedian, is being sued by Ruth Zafrin, her mother-in-law. Her usual comic routine relied heavily on the mockery of her family. Typically using cultural references from her half-black, half-Swedish, Catholic-educated background. With frequent imitations of her mother-in-law, the in-law has grown tired and taken offense to all the jokes made at her expense by Croonquist.

Ruth Zafrin, the mother-in-law, is now suing comedian Sunda Croonquist for making too many mother-in-law hilarious jokes. Ruth Zafrin, is Jewish, and says Croonquist is spreading hurtful lies with jokes like the one about her mother-in-law urging her to name her daughter Hadassah or Goldie something hard to pronounce, like Shaniquah.

Though defamation and slander still hurt even when committed by a comic on stage, a joke is still just a joke. Sunda Croonquist has been making them for years like the one about how her mother-in-law, the day she met, welcomed Croonquist into her home. But Soonquist can't be having fun joking about the in-laws any more, maybe it's time for some new material.

Since the lawsuit was filed, Croonquist has bounced back and forth between anger and humor. She’s angry the action has estranged her husband and their two daughters from his family, noting bitterly, “This could have broken up my marriage.” Being a regular in the comedy scene, Croonquist has somehow found a silver lining and the lawsuit had sparked in her more jokes about herself and that of her mother-in-law.

Britney Spears' conservatorship may end in November

britney spears | death prank controversyIt's been nine months since Britney Spears was part of the headlines and other negative output of media. Funny thing is the last time she had a buzz was about a stupid stuff of her faked announced death.

The pop star had managed to stay out of trouble and largely out of the headlines for quite awhile. According to TMZ report, Britney's father Jamie Spears is asking a judge to review the terms of her conservatorship in November. If the judge decides Brit's been a good girl, she'll regain control of her personal and business affairs.

Jamie has been basically in charge of Britney's life since last Oct. 28. That came after a spate of high-profile bad behavior from the singer, most notably her bizarre self-haircut. That led to a short hospitalization and the judge's ruling.

Britney is currently in the midst of a world tour, the end of which would coincide with her father's request. She is one of the many celebrities being the subject of Twitter shocking pranks that broke out late in June that supposedly announced multiple fake deaths of many different celebrities.

Borat's bro Brüno is fully sick

Brüno | funny prank movieSacha Baron Cohen employs this standard-issue of shocking pranks ideas tactic in Brüno his latest in-your-face, prank-based comedy adventure. In the film, his an outrageously gay Austrian fashion celebrity that travels across the US on a quest to find fame after being sacked from his TV show.

As with his previous smash-hit film, Borat, Cohen's real game is to sucker people into elaborate set-ups and outrage them, capturing their reactions on camera. Cohen's comedy is based on cruelty and embarrassment. He has no interest in observing human behaviour or in his victims sharing the joke afterwards. Cohen relies so heavily on deception to get people to sign releases demonstrates that he is untroubled by ethics.

Cohen set up 30 fake companies on the internet to trick people into participating in what they thought was a straight documentary. And while Brüno's stint as a misbehaving extra on the set of Medium is supposedly real, it's too obviously staged. It seems he will even stop to lying to his fans and search hard for his laughs.

The 83 minutes of Borat was culled from an astonishing 400 hours of footage. It's highly likely the 81 minutes of Brüno was distilled from a similar pool of raw video. Such an astronomical shooting ratio suggests that Cohen's laughs are due more to luck than any real skill.

The tonight show with Conan O' Briens aims to be funny everynight

the tonight show with conan o brien | funny pranks and gags showConan O’Brien, grew up in a Boston suburb. His father, Thomas, was a Harvard Medical School professor who specialized in infectious diseases. His mother, Ruth, was a partner at a Boston law firm.

Thinking of becoming a novelist he went to Harvard University, his graduate thesis was on Southern novelist Flannery O'Connor. He later became editor of the Harvard Lampoon and after college he wrote skits for improv groups, funny pranks ideas and practical jokes for "Not Necessarily The News," also scripts for "The Simpsons" and gags for "Saturday Night Live."

The gangly red-haired prankster first stumbled into the spotlight in 1993, when he had the unenviable task of replacing the popular David Letterman on NBC's "Late Night." Letterman had split for CBS after NBC passed him over and picked Jay Leno to replace Johnny Carson on "The Tonight Show."

He used to joke that he wasn’t “relatively unknown,“ he was a “complete unknown.“ The old geezers from the mail room at NBC thought of him as a goof plucked who thought just because he wrote scripts for “The Simpsons,“ he must be cool.

He was knocked by critics from New York to Los Angeles. At first, he went under probationary contract that had to be renewed monthly because NBC executives had doubts on him

O'Brien received some lukewarm reviews after his 1993 debut and it took more than a year before he got any respect in the media.

"There were times when I thought we weren't going to make it," he said during a visit to Tampa in February. "I wasn't new to show business, but I was new to being a talk-show host. Our biggest Achilles' heel in the beginning was me. I had to learn how to go from being this funny guy who cracked jokes with writers in a back room to doing it in front of an audience."

Eventually, O'Brien found his way on "Late Night." He and sidekick Andy Richter were like a couple of frat boy cutups having fun after the adults went to bed.

Tonight, O'Brien begins a new era for "Tonight," and the pressure is on not to mess it up.

"I'm not the 30-year-old who took over 'Late Night,'" he said in a recent interview. "I was willing to try anything. I don't regret any of that, but I'm 16 years older now, and I have a wife and two kids. I am keeping some things but I want to try new bits we haven't done before. I really want this show to be funny every night."

Richter, who left to pursue prime-time sitcom roles, is coming back. And drummer Max Weinberg and his band have also made the trip to new digs in Los Angeles.

"But in Los Angeles, if you're not in a car, something's very wrong with you," he said in a recent telephone interview.

"If you walk on the sidewalk, people think that you're off your medication. Police cars pull over and they handcuff you and take you away."

O'Brien says just being in Los Angeles will give him new material for Office Humor Pranks Stuff. He notes, for example, that in New York, where his "Late Night" originated, you encounter life on every corner.

Baldwin apologizes for mail-order bride war

alec baldwin | mail order prank jokeUsually talk shows are used as bridge for celebrities to make public apologies and not apologize after they go on talk shows. On Alec Baldwin, it wasn't the case. He had just undertaken a very unusual convention.

What was intentionally meant for just one of Alec Baldwin's practical jokes and funny pranks turned into a catastrophic event during a live interview at "David Letterman's Show".

The 30 Rock star had issued a mea culpa to the people of the Philippines and just like any other viewer who took offense to an offhand he delivered during his appearance on the Late Show With David Letterman last Tuesday.

"I'd like to offer an apology and a clarification to remarks I made recently," he writes on the Huffington Post.

"While on the David Letterman program, I joked that I might need a 'mail-order bride' to achieve the goal of having more children in my life. I believe that most people understood that this was a joke and took it as such. (A dated reference, no doubt, and another sign of my advancing age.)

"However, I do apologize to anyone who took offense."

When asked by the host if he ever thought about expanding his brood, he now regrettably quipped, "I'm thinking about getting a Filipino mail-order bride at this point…or a Russian one."

The comment resulted in a backlash from foreign ministry officials, protests and Baldwin's blacklisting from the Philippines as a result of his new found status as an "undesirable alien."
To stop the budding international incident from getting even more worst and out of hand, Baldwin yesterday issued a written apology for the remark.
Despite his apology and acknowledgment that "such anger and frustration about the issue of sex trafficking is understandable," Immigration Commissioner Marcelino Libanan today released a statement banning the actor from his shores.
"By being in the bureau's blacklist, Baldwin is forbidden from entering the country as he is deemed an undesirable alien," Libanan said.
